INTERMEDIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ishka Designs is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Interior Designer to assist with all projects, residential and commercial, working under the Principal’s direct supervision. The candidate will work with the team to manage and oversee all aspects of the project from concept through construction administration. Candidates for this position should be highly creative, well-organized, pro-active, and self-motivated. Strong verbal and graphic communication skills are integral in this role, along with a high level of enthusiasm. This is a full-time, in-office position, with great growth potential for a highly skilled and motivated designer. 

Responsibilities include:

-Assist in developing overall design intent for projects 

-Independently develop floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings

-Must be able to create drafting documentation in AutoCad and Revit. 

-Be able to effectively and efficiently deal with vendors, fabricators, and consultants, maintaining strong communication throughout the process to completion 

-Maintain current and accurate project presentations and drawings as projects evolve to completion 

-Assist with selections of materials, furnishing, lighting, etc. 

-Assist the construction process and visiting job sites. 

-Working on-site for client installations. 

-Assist as required with all aspects of projects and office affairs

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Minimum of two years of professional design experience 

-Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field 

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and Photoshop required 

-Revit not mandatory but a plus

-Attention to detail, strong organization skills, collaboration skills and communication skills are all musts 

-Knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines is a plus 

-Experience with custom furniture design and reviewing construction/millwork drawings are both a plus
